'The Color Purple' has spirit to spare
Touring show at Times-Union Center through Sunday

“The Color Purple” is about the resilience of the human spirit.
The musical based on Alice Walker’s 1982 novel, which won a Pulitzer Prize, came to Broadway in 2005 andopened Tuesday night at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.
And it does a nice job of capturing both the pain and the glory of the book.
